Charged with bringing Britain’s round of the World Rally Championship – Wales Rally GB – back to former glories, HPS Jardine conducted a comprehensive consumer PR campaign to bring rally back into the public consciousness.

 

Specifically tasked with securing national and lifestyle coverage, the agency enlisted the support of winter Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams. Amy was put through an intense training regime to earn her international co-driver’s license and the chance to compete at the highest level of the sport, all conducted under the media spotlight.

 

On a modest budget, the Amy campaign produced stunning results, with broadcast, print and online media coverage – ranging from The Sun, Mail, Telegraph and Times to Radio 2, Sky News and Newsround – valued at over £3m. The rally was a huge success – as was Amy, finishing 26th overall and 1st in class – attracting record breaking crowds.
