Anticipation is building ahead of this year’s Hertz MotoGP™ British Grand Prix – the world’s premier motorcycling series – which returns to British soil at the end of August. After last year’s record crowds and spectacular racing, including the epic MotoGP battle between 2012 and 2013 World Champions Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez, Silverstone is expecting another bumper crowd for 2014.
Over the weekend of 29–31 August, fans will flock to Silverstone – the Home of British Motor Racing – to experience the sights, smells and sounds of the world’s elite riders and bikes, as they tackle Silverstone’s thrilling high-speed circuit. With it comes the chance to support Britain’s own MotoGP™ superstars, Bradley Smith, Cal Crutchlow, Michael Laverty and last year’s Moto2™ British Grand Prix winner Scott Redding, as they fight for glory in front of the passionate home crowd.
Reigning Champion Marc Marquez will have last year’s final-lap battle with winner Jorge Lorenzo fresh in his mind as he pushes for his first victory at the British Grand Prix, while crowd favourite Valentino Rossi will attempt to steal the limelight from his Spanish competitors.
The HPS Jardine team will be out in force at Silverstone, representing a number of clients in the MotoGP Paddock, including Bridgestone (Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP), Moto3 team Mahindra Racing and, of course, Silverstone itself.
