Le Mans style start at the Bridgestone Kart eventSo far this year, Spanish rider Marc Marquez has won every single race of the 2014 MotoGP™ season as the country’s motorcycle racing renaissance sweeps all before it.

This year in June, Bridgestone held its second annual MotoGP™ Media Karting event as a prelude to the Catalan Grand Prix. 14 teams comprised of media, ex-racers, team members and other paddock personalities went head-to-head in a 90 minute endurance karting event, and the Spanish team ensured their country’s success extended from the racetrack to the karting track by finishing on the top step of the podium.

After a successful debut event last year, HPS Jardine once again coordinated this year’s event for its client Bridgestone and ensured key MotoGP™ media attended, while also arranging some MotoGP riders to come along for demonstration laps on two-stroke racing karts fitted with sticky Bridgestone slick tyres. Racers will always be racers, and Hiroshi Aoyama, Michael Laverty and Broc Parkes cut some impressive lap times around the Kartodrom Catalunya track before the main event.
