The biggest competition in schools’ football is challenging for its own glory after the PlayStation® Schools’ Cup was nominated for two UK Sponsorship Awards.
The grassroots partnership between PlayStation and the English Schools’ FA has been shortlisted for ‘Sports Sponsorship of the Year (Up to £750,000)’ and ‘Best Use of Public Relations in a Sponsorship Campaign’ in the illustrious national awards.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie Awards Gala Dinner on March 24th at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
The nominations come during an incredibly successful second season for the partnership which has seen the amount of PlayStation-backed schools’ tournaments increase to 19 and media interest soar.
Premier League ambassadors continue to back the partnership with an impressive 2014/15 season rollcall boasting Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), James Milner (Manchester City), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), Leighton Baines (Everton), Fraser Forster (Southampton) and Michael Dawson (Hull).
